学会へ寄せられた震災に対するお見舞いのメッセージ

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the members of the European Neuro-Ophthalmological Society, I would like to express our sincere sympathy to all Japanese neuro-ophthalmologists at a time of great difficulty and loss in your country. The events viewed on our TV screens and other media have profoundly saddened and distressed your European colleagues. Clearly many medical and other problems will arise in their wake, presenting huge challenges in the times ahead. The current courage and dignity demonstrated by your countrymen and women, when confronted with such an overwhelming natural disaster, are an example to the rest of the world.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families in the face of such adversity and be assured of our support as you confront the problems arising. In this respect, we are pleased to note the involvement of other specific European disaster agencies in the provision of practical relief.

In common with our friends in New Zealand and Australia, faced with natural disasters, I am sure you will all rise to the demands of the events with all the resources at your disposal.

With the best wishes of your European colleagues,

Yours sincerely,

Robert McFadzean,

President EUNOS
